Dilara (Dilara) Alekper Kyzy (Alekperovna) Aliyeva ( Azeri. Biography

Dilara Aliyeva was born on December 14, 1929 in Tbilisi in the family of a blacksmith. She graduated from high school number 97 Tbilisi. Then she entered the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Azerbaijan State University [1] .

After entering the graduate school of the Institute of Language and Literature named after Nizami of the Academy of Sciences of the Azerbaijan SSR, she was sent to the Rustaveli Institute of Literature of the Georgian SSR Academy of Sciences . Here she worked on her thesis on the theme “Reflection of Azerbaijani-Georgian literary connections in literature of the 19th century”, which she defended in 1954 [1] .

Later, Aliyeva worked as a junior researcher at the Nizami Institute of Language and Literature of the Azerbaijan SSR Academy of Sciences, a senior researcher at the Nizami Literature Museum , director of the ancient and middle ages literature department of the museum, and then a senior researcher at the department of literary relations of the Institute Literatures named after Nizami, Senior Researcher of the Downlifting Department, Leading Researcher of the Department of Literary Relations of the Institute, being at the same time Director la. In 1984 she defended her doctoral thesis on the topic "Nizami and Georgian literature" [1] .

In 1988, with the beginning of the Karabakh conflict, Dilara Aliyeva became an active member of the Popular Movement of Azerbaijan. Later she was elected a member of the Council of the People’s Front of Azerbaijan . In addition, Dilara Aliyeva was one of the founders and leaders of the Society for the Protection of Women's Rights [2] . She was a deputy from the bloc of democrats of the Supreme Soviet of the Azerbaijan SSR [1] .

On April 19, 1991, the car in which Dilyara Aliyeva traveled and the turkologist and linguist Aydin Mammadov had an accident in the territory of the Kakh district . Both scientists died in the accident [1] . Aliyev was buried at the II Alley of Honor in Baku.

The name of Dilara Aliyeva is an organization dedicated to the protection of women's rights and one of the streets of Baku [1] . On the wall of the house in which Aliyev lived, a memorial plaque was installed.
