Biography

Pupil of the Cheboksary school of higher sportsmanship. She graduated from the Faculty of Physical Education of the Chuvash State Pedagogical Institute (1979). She became the USSR master of sports in skiing in 1981.

Champion of Chuvashia, winner of the 8th Summer Spartakiad of the Peoples of the RSFSR (1983), three-time medalist of championships (1982–84) and champion (1982) of the RSFRS, medalist (1982, 1984) and winner (1983) of the USSR Cups, medalist of the USSR championships (1982, 1984) and winner of the World Cup (1983) in race walking in the team event.
