History
At the beginning of the 17th century, a parish church existed in the village, in the patriarchal salary books under 1628 it says “the Church of the Nativity of Christ in the sovereign palace village of Rozhdestvensky”. In 1703, instead of this church, a new wooden one was built and consecrated in honor of the same holiday. In 1762, on Christmas Day, the church burned down and the parishioners again built a wooden church. In 1836, instead of a wooden church, a stone with a bell tower was built. There were two thrones in it: in the cold in honor of the Nativity of Christ, in a warm meal in honor of the Transfiguration of the Lord. The parish consisted of the village of Rozhdestvenina and the villages of Fedyaev, Kurmaniha, Makarovka, Bolshoi Marinkin, Maly Marinkin, Beltenki, Burkovka. In the village of Rozhdestvenino there was a zemstvo folk school, there were 40 students in 1892–93 [2] . During the years of Soviet Power, the church was completely destroyed. In 1905 [3] there were 24 courtyards in the village.
At the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th centuries, the village was part of the St. Andrew's volost of the Alexander district .
Since 1929, the village was part of the Makhrinsky Village Council of the Alexander District .
In 2002, on the site of the destroyed Church of the Nativity of Christ in the village, the Chapel of the Transfiguration was built [4] .
