The memorial complex is a complex of monuments in the city of Morozovsk, Rostov region , dedicated to different periods of the history of the Morozov district.

History

The memorial complex in the city of Morozovsk, Rostov Region includes several monuments dedicated to different periods of the history of the Morozov district. The complex includes:

• monument with two sculptures of soldiers. The monument was built at the expense of the residents of the city of Morozovsk in 1955 at the grave of the fallen soldiers during the Great Patriotic War, in which 1832 soldiers, sergeants and officers of the Soviet Army were buried. The names of the victims are unknown.
• monument obelisk on the grave of the fallen soldiers during the Civil War in the battles of the liberation of the city of Morozovsk 1918-1920, in which 13 soldiers, sergeants and officers are buried, with an inscription on the plaque: "Eternal glory for the death of the brave in the struggle for the power of the Soviets" ;
• a monument to the Heroes of the Soviet Union - residents of the Morozov district with an inscription on a sign “To the heroes of the countrymen. We bow our heads before your feat. ” The monument is a sculpture of a warrior standing at the obelisk to the heroes. In one hand, he holds a removed cap, in the other - a wreath at the obelisk. On the chest of a warrior - the star of the Hero of the Soviet Union and the Order. The monument is installed on a low pedestal;
• a commemorative badge to the workers of the rear during the war years of 1941-1945 with an inscription on the memorial plate “Descendants thank you, relatives, for what you have stood and won”. The memorial sign is made in the form of a bas-relief, which shows a drilling machine, on the machine tool a small growth projectile is drilled in a cap. The worker stands on a bar, a woman in a wardrobe supports her waist, whose height is a cut above the height of the worker;
• the monument “Fighting brotherhood” is a memorial sign to Russian soldiers of local conflicts with the names of the heroes and the inscription: “Fighting brotherhood. Debt. Honour. Fatherland. One of the heroic warriors, Hero of Russia captain Alexander Kiryanov . Kiryanov served in the 559th Bomber Aviation Regiment in the city of Morozovsk. He died on December 31, 1994 in the city of Grozny from a grenade breaking, closing the commander;
• The sculptural composition on the mass grave is a sculpture of a soldier with a rifle behind his back and a woman standing next to him. Before the sculptures there is a long slab with signs on which the names of the dead warriors are written.

The memorial complex was created for the 65th anniversary of the Victory over the Nazi invaders. Near the complex is Morozov Museum of Local Lore .
