History

At the beginning of the XVII century, Semenovskoye with adjacent villages belonged to the family of the Shuysky princes. According to the spiritual testament of Prince Ivan Ivanovich Shuisky, approved in 1638 by Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich, the village of Semenovskoe came into the possession of the Trinity-Sergius Monastery . Upon the abolition of the monastic estates in 1764, Semenovskoye with the villages was transferred to the management of state property. The surviving ancient antimins, consecrated in 1623 by Patriarch Filaret to the Church of the Assumption of the Mother of God, testifies that at that time there was already a church in Semenovsky. In the sheet on the churches of the Pereslavl diocese for 1799 in the village of Semenovsky there was a wooden church in the name of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary with the chapels of the Holy Hieromartyr Simeon of Jerusalem and the Holy Great Martyr Catherine. In 1816, instead of a wooden one, a stone church was built with the same bell tower, in 1874 the bell tower was rebuilt. The parish consisted of the village of Semenovsky and villages: Ryazanok, Klimov, Belkov, Peregudov, Karpov, Kurbatov, Vasilev, Dubrovka. In the village of Semenovsky there was a zemstvo folk school, there were 56 students in 1892–93 [2] .

In the XIX - early XX centuries, the village was part of the Makhrinsky volost of Alexander district .

Since 1929, the village was part of the Belkovsky village council of the Kirzhach region , and later - as part of the Gorkinsky village council .
