Aura Ivanovna Kiiskinen (1878-1968) - leader of the women's and labor movement of Finland, deputy of the Finnish Sejm, one of the founders of the Communist Party of Finland, Soviet politician.

Biography
Born in the city of Kuopio in the Grand Duchy of Finland in a working class family. Received a full primary education in a public school. In 1894 she moved to Vyborg .
In 1899 she joined the Social Democratic Party of Finland .
In 1908-1917 - Member of the Finnish Sejm, in 1910 represented Finland at the II International Congress of Women Socialists in Copenhagen.
She was an active participant in the civil war in Finland (1918) as part of the Finnish Red Guard . During the Vyborg massacre, under the guise of a patient, she was hiding in a deaconess hospital in Saunalahti [1] .
She was a member of the Supreme Working Council of Finland . After the defeat of the "Red Finns" left Finland.
Since 1918 she was a member of the RCP (b) , was a delegate to the Constituent Congress of the Communist Party of Finland in Moscow. From 1918 to 1922 - in the propaganda department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Finland in the Finnish section of the RCP (b). Since 1922, he has been teaching at the Communist University of National Minorities of the West in Leningrad. In 1925 she graduated from teacher training courses.
Since 1931 - in the Autonomous Karelian SSR, she trained management personnel in the republican Sovpartshkol (history teacher), worked as an editor of the Karelian state publishing house.
She was elected as a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (1956-1959) and the Supreme Council of the Karelian-Finnish SSR (1951-1955), and was a member of their presidiums.
She was buried at the Sulazhgorsk cemetery of Petrozavodsk [2] .
