Story

An employee of the glamorous magazine Robin Monroe flew to the tropical island of Makatea (Makoti) , where her fiancé Frank proposed to her and officially announced their engagement. Unexpectedly, Robin is called to Tahiti due to work problems. The only way to get to Tahiti is to fly a de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver four-seater with pilot Quinn Harris. During the flight, Robin and Quinn fall into a thunderstorm and make an emergency landing on a desert island . The aircraft crashes the landing gear . Disaster survivors are forced to survive on the island like robinsons. They have to look for water, food, try to call for help. Two such different people, of different ages, involuntarily get closer.

Meanwhile, friends and relatives begin the search, and after a few days consider Robin and Quinn dead. During the search, Frank also became closely acquainted with the stewardess Quinn Angelica and slept with her. Quinn finds a wrecked Japanese seaplane during the war on the island and snuggles the floats from it to his plane. Near the uninhabited island, pirates sailed and the victims of the disaster became unwitting witnesses to the execution of two members of the criminal team. The pirates did not need witnesses at all, and Quinn and Robin only miraculously managed to escape, taking off on a hastily repaired plane at the last moment.

Missing people are returning back to civilization. Now the four heroes have to deal with their intricate relationships. The main character is going home. Robin, having learned at the airport about Frank's betrayal, returns the ring to him. Quinn, who at first was not going to change his lifestyle and considered an “island” affair with Robin an accident, suddenly rushes to the airport. At the last moment, he stops the flight and closes Robin in his arms.
