Geography
The village is located 11 km north-east of the center of the settlement of the village of Anopino and 15 km north of the city of Gus-Khrustalny .
History
In the second half of the XVII - the first half of the XVIII centuries, the village was part of the Listvensky camp of the Vladimir district of the Zamoskovsky region of the Moscow kingdom .
The village of Popovichi was granted by Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich to Bogdan Pestrovo [2] .
According to the information of 1859 [3], the list of populated areas of the Vladimir province in the village of Popovichi included 39 yards, in 1905 [4] - 109 yards.
At the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries, Popovichi was a large village in the Moruga volost of Sudogda County .
Since 1929, the village was part of the Vashutinsky Village Council of the Gus-Khrustalny District , and since 2005, it was part of the rural settlement “Anopino Village” .
