Kashmir (group)

Kashmir ( Rus. Kashmir ) is a Danish alternative rock band that was formed in Copenhagen in 1991 . The group includes Casper Eystrup ( vocals ), Mads Tunebjerg ( bass ), Asger Tekhau ( drums ) and Henrik Lidstrand ( keyboards ).

Content

History

In the spring of 1991, Eustrup, Tunebjerg and Tekhau founded their own rock band and named it Nirvana . When the famous rock band of the same name began to gain popularity, they renamed themselves in honor of the song of the British rock band Led Zeppelin Kashmir from the album Physical Graffiti .

In 1993, they took second place at the DM i Rock festival (after the group Dizzy Mizz Lizzy ), after which they subsequently became very popular in Denmark .

In 2000, they won 6 Danish Music Awards in the following areas: the best Danish group, the best Danish album, the best Danish songwriter, the best Danish rock album (for The Good Life album), the best Danish producer and the best Danish video clip [ 1] .

In 2001, Henryk Lidstrand, who plays keyboards , joined the group.

In 2004, the group won 4 Danish music awards in the following areas: the best Danish group, the best Danish album (for the Zitilites album), the best Danish video clip and the best Danish cover .
