Fedor Dmitrievich Studitsky (1814-1893) - Russian teacher.
He graduated from the Faculty of History and Philology of St. Petersburg University . He taught in a number of gymnasiums and in the Pavlovsk Cadet Corps .
Also edited the popular newspaper "The Worldly Word"; spoke for the real and professional direction of education in Russia, for introducing into the educational institutions the teaching of manual labor and various branches of agriculture.
His works were printed:
- "Geography for children" (St. Petersburg, 1840; with reprints)
- "Geography of Russia" (SPb., 1844)
- " Folk songs of the Vologda and Olonets gubernias " (SPb., 1841; with reprints)
- "Journey around the world" (St. Petersburg, 1846-18555)
- "A collection of poems and passages in prose for the study of Russian lang." (St. Petersburg, 1849)
The first in Russia, F. D. Studitsky, proposed a method of teaching literacy with the help of moving letters:
- "Russian alphabet for children with movable letters" (SPb., 1846)
- " How to teach literacy in the ABC for peasant children, or Guide to teaching literacy " () SPb., 1864)
