History
Adolf Loze Meat Factory
One of the oldest food enterprises of the city of Novocherkassk and the Rostov region , preserved since its inception and operating to this day. The first mention of the sausage factory of the German settler Adolf V. Loze , built in Zapadenskoye Gully in the south-west of the city, dates back to 1867. The factory was famous for, as evidenced by printed sources of those times, “good-quality sausage of several varieties and smoked products”. [2]
Loze Adolf V. was born in Germany in 1835 . After graduating from the city school in the city of Königsbrig (Saxony), in 1864 he arrived in Russia and worked at the Export Massacre in Libava as a foreman, then as a foreman at a large steam factory, then the first in Russia, the Sheffel sausage factory. After that, having been in different cities of Russia, Adolf arrived in Novocherkassk in 1867, where he founded a sausage workshop in the most primitive setting and modest size, gradually increasing its productivity. The activity of the company “Adolf Loze” (the plant was originally called) increased so much that two independent sausage factories were opened. After Lose’s death, his heirs, sons Robert and Albert Loze successfully continued his business and built similar enterprises in other cities in southern Russia. [3]
One was in the city of Novocherkassk , which since 1910 , after the death of the founder, was led by the son of Robert Adolfovich Lose. Factory turnover reached 400,000 rubles. with 150 workers and employees. The other was in the city of Rostov-on-Don , which was led by another son, Albert Adol'fovich Lose, who, under the guidance of his father, himself founded a factory in Rostov. Thanks to the knowledge in the field of his profession, expanding and replenishing the factory with the latest innovations in technical and hygienic relations, the entrepreneur brought his factory turnover to a relatively short time, up to 300,000 rubles. Workers on it and employees at the stores up to 120 people. The factories supplied the products of their production: the North, Yekaterinoslav with the neighboring provinces of Don Oblast , the Caucasus, the Transcaucasian and Trans-Caspian regions . The products of the factories were especially famous in the Don Region and in the Caucasus and had the greatest sales there. For the quality of its sausage products, Adolph Loze has won many top awards and accolades both in Russia and at international exhibitions. Both owners of the sausage company took part in many public, educational and charitable institutions, for which they deserved universal respect. [four]
The place for the combine was chosen not by chance. On the one hand, the old Rostov highway passed a few meters from the territory, and on the other hand, the plant adjoined Zapadsenskaya gully, the creek of which was convenient for discharging sewage. In those years it was a distant urban outskirts. By 1895 , Loze’s enterprise produced 2.5 thousand pounds of sausage products per year; the products were sold in Adolf Lohse's first-class sausage shop. [five]
"Not a store, but a fairy tale - the whole room is decorated with white tiles, all in bright colors, clean starch caps from the salesmen" - "All Russia". Russian book of industry address-calendar of the Russian Empire, edition A.S. Suvorin , 1895, 856 p. [five]
Revolutionary period
At the beginning of the 20th century, the main production building was built - a sausage shop with a capacity of 60 pounds (about 1 ton) of sausage per day.
August 11, 1917 at the plant there was a pogrom and a fire that destroyed part of the buildings. The plant was partially restored and continued to produce. After the revolution, the meat processing plant was reconstructed, the slaughter department was completed. The design capacity of the enterprise reached 25 tons per day. On January 7, 1920, Soviet power came to Novocherkassk. The plant, abandoned by the owners, was tried to be taken apart, but this was prevented, and in 1920 it began to relate to the food industry enterprises of the Donoblast of Cherkasy District. Productivity was 200 pounds per day. From reports for 1926:
“1926 There are two slaughterhouses at the sausage factory: one for cattle, the other for small ones. In the sausage shop under the direction of the director Comrade. 35 people work in the middle, 100 sausages are produced. Smoked Sausage Recipe: Beef Pud, Pork Pud and Pud Pork. Preparing and "folk", that is, tea sausage.
According to the directory of M. Fetisov in 1928:
“After the dissolution of the Cherkassy Don Food Trust, the sausage factory was leased to Donselprom (1927). The production program in the current 1928 is designed to produce one million kilograms of various sausages. The staff of 100 people. " [6]

War Period
During the Great Patriotic War, the Novocherkassians heroically fought for the honor of their homeland. During the occupation of Novocherkassk in the autumn of 1942, separate underground patriotic groups were created. In a brief report Novocherkassk State Committee of the CPSU (b) there is a group of Professor Romensky N. V. It consisted of many small underground groups, including a group of meat-processing workers headed by veterinarian Nikolai Pavlovich Panfilov. On the instructions of the commander, it was decided to disrupt the food supply of the German army. N. P. Panfilov together with the workers of the plant Polyakov I.P. and Kostrykin N.A., breaking the thread, opened the water supply taps, filled the room with water, which, after freezing, stopped the sausage shop and rendered the meat grinder inoperable, leaving the Germans without products . [7]
Post-war period
Post-war (1946) production at the meat-processing plant, due to numerous damages, remained primitive; slaughter was carried out manually; the sausage was boiled in vats, which were heated by firewood, the boiler room operated at the coal head, there was no central heating. Gradually, the company acquired a modern look. Its maximum productivity, maintained during the 1980s, was 15–18 tons of product per shift. Post-war production at the meat processing plant was at the cave level. Slaughter was carried out manually. Sausage was cooked in vats, which were heated with wood. Offal smoked right in the yard at the stake. The boiler room worked on the coal shlab, which was usually frozen in winter. [8] Despite the difficulties in 1949, among the winners of the socialist competition, who received the Red Banner of the City Committee of the AUCPB and the City Executive Committee, the team of the Meat Processing Plant was named Director Comrade. A.I. Troshchenko, Secretary p. Comrade Faraponov, chairman of the local committee Comrade. Kushnaryov. The July plan was fulfilled by 136.7%, and the second quarter - by 152.4%. Gradually, the plant was completed, reconstructed and gasified. In 1952, a steam boiler-house was built and put into operation at the plant, which made it possible to arrange steam heating, as well as introduce steam heating when cooking sausages and sweating fat. [9] In 1954, L.I. was appointed director of the meat processing plant. Mikhailov. Since 1957 - Director Alexander Andreevich Dedik. Since 1963 - Director Nikolai Klimov. In 1968 - Director Adolf Illarionovich Zheludkov. During these years, the expansion of the meat-processing plant was carried out with the serial reconstruction of workshops, the construction of a refrigerator and a compressor shop. The conveyor for processing cattle and pigs increases by 2 times. Gasification of the boiler house with the replacement of steam boilers is being carried out;
- departments of the chief mechanic and builders;
- boning and skin dressing compartments and much more. [eight]
All the work carried out on the basis of the economic calculation, moreover, by independent forces (except gasification), increased the capacity of the meat-processing plant three times. They went into practice, and are still continuing, collective visits to theaters, concerts, hiking tours and excursions — which brought the team together and disciplined at the same time. [eight]
The long-term and dedicated work of the company's employees was marked by high awards. The titles “ Honored Worker of the Food Industry ” were awarded to N. P. Mukhina, L. V. Sukhorukova, S. K. Modern Period
When the country's economy began to reform in the early 1990s, the production indicators of the meat processing plant began to decline. Many processing enterprises at that time ceased to exist, or were redeveloped. But the Novocherkassk Meat Processing Plant survived and continued to work successfully. In 1996, with the arrival of Akulovich LA managed to halt the decline in production, and today Novocherkassky Meat Processing Plant OJSC is one of the stably operating enterprises of the city. Since 1999, on a competitive basis, the meat processing plant is included in federal programs for the development of regional enterprises, which are being successfully implemented. In 2001, the Novocherkassky Meat Processing Plant OJSC, on the basis of the bankrupt enterprise, formed the Golden Taurus joint agricultural enterprise for raising and fattening cattle and pigs. At present, its acreage has been expanded, the pig-head has been enlarged 8 times, which has made it possible to reduce the cost of production. The meat factory has repeatedly participated in various exhibitions and became the winner in terms of the quality of its products. They conquered:
- the gold medal for cooked sausages "Ostankino" and "Jubilee" (international food exhibition "Hospitable Rostov", 2000, 2002);
- gold medal for uncooked smoked sausage “Mescherskaya” (All-Russian contest of the best food products, Volgograd, 2001)

- gold medals for cooked smoked sausage "Moskovskaya" (food exhibition "YUGPRODEXPO" 2001, 2002)
- Bronze medal for boiled sausage in the Molochnaya premium (Russian agro-industrial exhibition, Moscow, 2002).
Under the leadership of L.A. Akulovich has developed a new strategy for the development of the enterprise; in the first place - the quality of products, in the second - its successful implementation with a profit, and, as a result - timely settlement with suppliers, an increase in the company's rating among consumers and partners. Then - the development and modernization of production, staff training, construction of new production facilities of the meat processing plant. [eleven]
In 2017, the meat processing plant celebrated its 150th anniversary. [12]
