The water tower at Inte (1954) is the main architectural building at Inte , the architect of which was I. P. Paradise and engineer B. N. Alentsev, which regulates the flow of water into the city and nearby villages. The sketch of this project was created by Arthur Tamvelius [1] . The tower was built by prisoners from a mineral camp. About 11 thousand people participated in the construction of the tower. The location of the tower is determined by an artesian well, which was supposed to supply water to the quarters of the village-city. [2]

The water tower is the pride of the residents of Inta , personifies the connection of times: the tragic fate during political repression and shows the glory of the city. In 1982, the Intins made the image of the water tower a symbol of the emblem, and since 2000 it is a universally recognized symbol of the city.
The tower was used for its purpose until the 1990s, after which it was not exploited [3] .

Description
The water tower is made in the Gothic style, it is crowned with a metal spire with a five-pointed red star, made according to the drawings of I. A. Khomenko. The star was established only in 1957 [2] . The height of the tower along with the star is 54.5 meters and it can be seen from anywhere in the city. The tower is folded with decorative colored masonry of red and yellow bricks, has high windows and serrated edges; For a long time it was the tallest building in the country, erected in permafrost.
Present days
Since 2000, the tower has been officially recognized as a historical monument and is protected by the state.
In 2011, it was reconstructed, as it was in disrepair.
Since 2012, the tower is a structural unit of the museum of local lore. The Museum of Political Repressions settled in the towers on the first two tiers.
The official opening of the museum took place on October 4, 2014. Entrance to the museum is strictly by tickets in a group of up to 10 people. [four]
