Quo - the seventh studio album of the British group Status Quo , released in 1974. Recorded by Francis Rossi, Richard Parfitt, Alan Lancaster and John Coglan. As with the previous Hello! , it consisted entirely of rewritten or co-written songs. Bob Young noted as guest musicians and Tom Parker, who played the harmonica and piano on the track "Break the Rules".

Initially, it was planned to release the song “Backwater” as a single, but eventually the song “Break the Rules” was released in April 1974, which reached number 8 in the UK [2] .
In May of the same year, the album itself was released, which managed to reach the second place in the charts [2] . In retrospect, the album is considered the most difficult. Perhaps this is due to the influence of bassist Alan Lancaster , who is credited with co-writing six tracks out of eight.
In the UK, the cover of the album contained an advertising insert with the image of the group during the concert and lyrics.
