Warsaw suburban railways ( Polish Warszawska Kolej Dojazdowa, WKD ) - a railway system in the capital of Poland , Warsaw and its agglomeration, similar to S-Bahn systems. The line of the suburban-city train, together with its two branches, connects Warsaw with the municipalities of Michalovice, Pruszkow, Brvinow, Podkova Lesna, Milanowek and Grodzizk Mazowiecki to the south-west of Warsaw.

History
The line was opened in 1927 as an electric commuter railway and received its modern name in 1951 . It was the first electric railway in Poland. At the end of 2004, the railway was acquired by the Polish State Railways Consortium ( Polish: Polskie Koleje Państwowe, PKP ), which is represented by the city of Warsaw, the Mazowiecki regional government and six municipalities served by the suburban railway.
Route
Starting from the underground terminal station adjacent to the central station , the road line continues to the west, passing along the Warsaw main railway line, and then turns into a separate line, heading south-west.
