History
The house on Petrov Street, 36 was built in the late 1850s and as of 1859 it belonged to the titular adviser Mikhail Petrov and his wife Elena, for whom it was built [1] . Mikhail Petrov was a member of the board of trustees for prisons, was on the committee for the construction of bridges and served as a titular adviser . In 1861, together with Firsov and Trusov, he was recognized as a city architect. In 1864, Mikhail Petrov was appointed and became the chief builder for the construction of the Mitrofani church. He was engaged in the construction of a building for a commercial meeting in which a branch of the pedagogical institute on Petrovskaya Street 42 later began to operate [2] . As of 1873, Mikhail Petrov was also the owner, however, already in the rank of collegiate assessor [1] .
In 1880, the property became the property of the wife of collegiate registrar Sofia Talalaeva [1] . Her husband, a nobleman Nikolai Alexandrovich, was the provincial secretary [2] . He owned many houses on Petrovskaya Street, which were located from the post office to Dvortsovyi Lane [1] . There were several children in the Talalayev family: Alexander, Dmitry, Fedor and Vera. In 1910, the premises were rented by a port technician, court counselor Alexey Andreevich Ioganson [2] . Sophia Talalaeva ceased to be the owner of the house after 1915 [1] . The new owner in 1917-1925 was the office worker E. L. Sergienko [2] .
Description
The house on Petrovskaya Street, 36, is a one-story structure with a mezzanine . The building was rebuilt compared to the original version. The documents for the construction of the house meant that at this address is a wooden house with a brick lining and a stone barn [1] . On the right side of the house there is a porch [2] .
