Biography

He was born in Sevastopol in 1932, although according to the documents he was born in 1936. His father is Muzhdaba Bilyalov, his mother is Emine Bilyalova. Thanks to his mother who loved to sing, Fevzi joined the folk art of the Crimean Tatars and dreamed of becoming a musician, but his father wished his son to become an agronomist [1] .

In 1944, as a result of the deportation of Crimean Tatars, Bilyalov and his family ended up in the Samarkand region of Uzbekistan . Here he graduated from the seven-year school and, failing to enter the Samarkand College of Music, graduated from college and continued his studies at the Michurin Agricultural Institute in 1956 [1] .

At the same time, he begins to perform as part of the amateur ensemble V. Murtazaev, and in 1957 he successfully auditioned for the Crimean Tatar ensemble under the Uzbek stage under the direction of Ilyas Bakhshish . The ensemble is called “Haytarma”, Bilyalov becomes his lead singer and singer and moves to Tashkent . Here he enters the Tashkent State Theater Institute, which he graduated in 1967 [1] .

In the ensemble Bilyalov performs folk songs. In 1970, he became the leader of “Haytarma”, using in his work the support of well-known Crimean Tatar performers: Edie Topchi, Sabriya Erejepova. Merits of Bilyalov are recognized at the national level: in 1974 he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Uzbek SSR [1] .

In 1978, Bilyalov left the ensemble, having received an invitation from Batyr Zakirov to the Uzbek music hall. After five years of performances and numerous tours of the Soviet Union, Bilyalov returned to his native Haytarma band as a soloist. Four years later, in 1987, he creates the Efsane group under the ensemble, and in 1989 he becomes the artistic director of the ensemble. In the same year he was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Uzbek SSR [1] .

In 1992, Bilyalov, together with the ensemble, returned to the Crimea, where he settled in Yevpatoria. A year later, he left the ensemble, now forever. Since 1994, Bilyalov has been working as a soloist with the Crimean State Philharmonic , and in 1997 he created a new group - the folklore group “Hansaray”. Ukraine recognizes the merits of Bilyalov, in 1993 conferring on him the title of People's Artist [1] .

Fevzi Bilyalov died on August 8, 1999 from a stroke. He was buried in Yevpatoriya [1] .

Repertoire

Fevzi Bilyalov became famous for folk songs. In addition, he performed works by Crimean Tatar composers: Fevzi Aliyev, Ilyas Bakhshish, Yai Sherfedinov and others. One of the first performed previously banned songs "Ramrod", "Port Arthur" [1] . Among other famous songs in his repertoire are “Dertley Kawal”, “Baidaraw Yollars”, “Azbarimda Badem Terek”.
