Biography
Vasily Fedorovich Zasekin in 1576-1577 he was a regimental governor in Dankov, before he stood on Ryazan; in 1581 was a siege governor in Karachev; then he was ordered to be in Novosili in the place of Prince Semyon Korkodinov, who was killed by the Tatars [1] .
In 1584, Zasekin was in the city of Ryazhsk , from where it was supposed, according to the Nagai news, to send in the fall to Kazan; in December of that year, a large regiment was supposed to be in Ryazan by painting; the governors in it were: the boyar, Prince Dmitry Ivanovich Hvorostinin, and Prince Zasekin [1] .
Due to the illness of Prince Hvorostinin, Prince Zasekin was sent to Pereyaslavl "for the time being Prince Dmitri the obmezhetsa." This, albeit temporary, increase in Prince Merkul Aleksandrovich Shcherbatoy, who was at that time in the watchtower regiment of Nikola Zarayskago, considered a bail for his honor and sent a petition to the tsar that he "could not be less than Prince Zasekin." The Tsar notified Prince Zasekin of this with diplomas and, having passed the service, promised Prince Shcherbaty βto give an accountβ [1] .
