Selkindzh ( dari سېلکنج ) is a village in the north-east of Afghanistan , in the province (province) Badakhshan . It is part of the Wahan region.

Geographical position
Selkindzh is located in the north-east of Badakhshan, in the highlands, on the left bank of the Vahandarya River, at a distance of about 244 kilometers east of the city of Fayzabad , the administrative center of Vilayat. The absolute height is 3405 meters above sea level [1] . The nearest settlements are the village of Purtworth (upstream of the Wahandarya), the village of Nirs (downstream of the Wahandarya).
Population
As of 2003, the population was 65 people. The national composition is dominated by the Vakhans [2] .
