Qualification

Men's taekwondo competitions in the under 68 kg category at the 2015 European Games took place on June 15 in the Baku Crystal Hall . The competition was attended by 16 athletes from 16 countries.

The owner of the competition, 19-year-old Aykhan Tagizade , who won the final of the Pole Karol Robak, became the champion of the first European Games. Olympic champion of 2012, Spaniard Joel Gonzalez and Russian Alexei Denisenko received bronze medals, both of these taekwondo wrestlers being winners of the 2012 Olympic tournament in the under 58 kg category .

2012 Turkish Olympic champion Servet Tazegul devastatingly lost to Robak in the first round of the competition. Since the Pole reached the finals, Tazegul got the opportunity to compete for the bronze medal, where he lost to Alexei Denisenko in the decisive match.
