History
Long since the territory of the province of Bukidnon was inhabited by the people of the Mamadas tribe. The people of Mamadas belonged to the nomads. The people of the tribe were engaged in hunting, gathering wild edible fruits and plants, and grew corn. People lived in temporary shelters built by them. The tribe had its own political and religious leader and military.
The territory of the province is about 1250 km².
