Biography
Born on February 15, 1926 in the village of Khanlyg, Karyaginsky uyezd, Azerbaijan SSR (now Kubatly District).
He began his career in 1941 as a collective farmer. Since 1944, an employee of the production association "Azneft". Later, the drilling foreman of the Sangachal Offshore Drilling Administration of the Casporneft Association of the USSR Ministry of Oil Industry. The Gambarova Brigade has repeatedly achieved high results of socialist competition.
By the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 2, 1974, for outstanding achievements in the early fulfillment of the tasks of the Ninth Five-Year Plan and socialist obligations to drill oil wells in the Caspian Sea, as well as the able leadership of the Brigade of Gambarov Mamed Mutallim oglu, he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor and awarded the Order of Lenin. medals " Hammer and Sickle ".
In 1978, Gambarov Mamed Mutallim oglu was awarded the State Prize of the Azerbaijan SSR for high technical and economic indices when drilling oil wells in the Caspian Sea.

He actively participated in the social and political life of the republic. Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Azerbaijan SSR of the 9th convocation. He died in 1995 in the city of Baku.
