Group History
The date of the official formation of the group is considered to be April 18, 2008 [1] , however, from the original composition it remained only Ivan and Yana Smirnov, as well as Taisiya Svinarchuk [2] . The group owes its name to musical critic Ivan Chernyavsky, who in one of the Play magazine’s numbers gave such a description to the Gogol Bordello group, which became the prototype of the name [3] :

Yana Smirnova is the daughter of the leader and vocalist of the Mango-Mango group Andrei Gordeev [4] .
In 2017, KDIMB participated in the tribute project to Victor Tsoi “ We left the Cinema ”, recording his version of the song “We want to dance”.
Style
The organizers themselves define it as an exalted orchestral post-rock , formed under the influence of Soviet children's literature, American archetypes, dances, shugeyzing , afro-pop, etc. [5]
Success
- The 2012 Steppe Wolf Award in the category “Song of the Year” for the Astronauts was also nominated in the categories “Voice” (Yana Smirnova) and “Album” (Oboe)
