Doctor of Technical Sciences. Professor. Corresponding Member of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (1939). Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the Ukrainian SSR (1954).
In 1926 he graduated from the Kharkov Institute of Chemical Technology (since 1950 - Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute ). In the same institute worked.
He studied the composition of coal tar and raw benzene in the deposits of Donbass , developed the technology for the production of acenaphten and fluorene from them, as well as the synthesis of substances .
