Newcastle United

In June 2005, Glenn Raeder became the manager of Newcastle United [1] . After the resignation of Graham Sunness in February 2006, Raeder became the managing manager, team player Alan Shearer became an assistant [2] . The team managed to take seventh place in the championship, allowing them to participate in the Intertoto Cup. Freddie Shepard, chairman of the team’s board of directors, named Raeder the first candidate for Newcastle’s head coach, provided he receives permission from the Premier League to replace Raeder’s missing UEFA Pro license . Representatives of Newcastle indicated that Raeder was halfway to obtaining this license when a brain tumor was discovered [3] . On May 3, 2006, the Premier League rejected the request, but Shepard managed to secure the support of the leadership of the remaining nineteen league teams. With the approval of the leadership of the Premier League, Raeder signed a two-year contract with the team on May 16 [4] .

On June 1, 2006, Glenn Raeder announced the appointment of Kevin Bond [5] as his assistant, with whom he worked at West Ham. In September, Bond was fired with a scandal. [6] On October 22, 2006, the former assistant to Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion manager Nigel Pearson became the new assistant [7] .

In 2006, the team was able to become the owner of the Intertoto Cup, which was the first trophy of the team since 1969 [8] . At an emergency meeting of the club’s board of directors on May 6, 2007, Raeder's resignation was announced, as the team was able to win only one in the last ten matches [9] . Sam Allardyce became his successor on May 15, 2007 [10] .

Norwich City

In October 2007, Raeder signed a contract with the leadership of the club from the Norwich City Championship for a period until 2010, the condition was to maintain a place in the division and receive four points from the relegation zone [11] . In the first season, the team was able to avoid relegation, there were hopes for reaching the playoff zone.

During a match with Bristol City in the summer of 2008, Raeder and his assistant Lee Clark, due to an aggressive reaction to the referee's decision, to give the opposing team a 91-minute free kick in the direction of Norwich (who won) were subjected to disciplinary punishments. On July 25, Raeder was fined £ 1,000 and was banned from attending two matches. [12] Clark was required to pay 500 pounds and missed one match.

In the 2008/09 season, the team showed poor results in the championship, Raeder was fired after losing the “ Charlton Athletic ” in the third round of the FA Cup [13] .

Advisor

From April to December 2015, Glenn Raeder, along with Adam Pearson, worked as an adviser to Sheffield Wensday coach Stuart Gray [14] [15] .

In March 2016, Raeder became Managing Advisor to the Stevenage Second Football League team [16] .
