Biography
Early Years, Family, and Education
Born June 8, 1967 in Richmond ( Virginia , USA ) in the family of the Greek Manuel Lupassi, a native of Crete ( Greece ). Has two sisters.
Father Uncle Manoli, who worked in West Virginia , sent money to Crete to help his sister in the , including paying for electricity to her house.
Manoli's father, who arrived in Richmond in 1958 and received US citizenship in 1964, began working as a dishwasher, later becoming a restaurateur and . Robin Inn , a family-owned Italian and Greek cuisine restaurant, is now run by Nicki Lupassi, sister of Manoli Lupassi, who has been a dishwasher and dishwasher manager at Robin Inn since he was 10 years old.
In 1985 he graduated in Richmond.
In 1989, he graduated from the University of Washington and Lee with a bachelor ’s degree in humanities .
In 1992, he received a doctorate in law from the University of Richmond School of Law .
Career
After graduation, he worked in a large law firm .
In 1998-2006 - Treasurer of the Republican Party Branch Committee in Richmond.
In 2000-2006 - a member of the Richmond City Council , in which he represented the 1st constituency of the .
For six years he was the prosecutor of Hanover County and the city of Richmond, was a member of the multi-jurisdictional Grand Jury of the districts of Chesterfield , Enrico and Hanover, as well as the city of Richmond. During this period, he managed to obtain imprisonment for some of the local most dangerous criminals, including , killers, rapists , robbers and .
In November 2007, he was elected a member of the Virginia House of Representatives from the 68th constituency.
