Nikolai Filippovich Lata (born January 10, 1949 ) is the head of the Zaporizhzhya Regional Department of Forestry and Hunting, has the honorary title “ Honored Forestry Officer of Ukraine ”.

Biography
Born on January 10, 1949 in the Donetsk region .
In 1981 he graduated from the Novocherkassk Reclamation Engineering Institute .
Over 38 years of work in forestry, he has gone from a forestry technician, assistant forester , forester, chief forester, since 1999 he has been appointed general director of the Zaporizhzheles association, and since January 2005 he has been working as head of the Zaporizhzhya regional forestry and hunting department.
Achievements and rewards
- During the tenure of Nikolai Lata as the head of Zaporozhyeles, the forest area in the region doubled and as of 2008 amounted to 75 thousand ha.
- For significant personal contribution to the socio-economic, cultural development of the Ukrainian state, significant labor achievements and on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence, Late Mykola Filippovich was awarded the honorary title “ Honored Arborist of Ukraine ” ( Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 694/2006.
