Biography

Shack Brox was born in January 1937 in Amsterdam . Father - Petrus Brox, was a native of Dongen , mother - Johanna Maria van de Colwijk, was born in Alsmere [2] . Shack was the only child in the family, since childhood he was friends with Shack Swart , Benny Muller and Pete Keyser . In his youth, he played football with a tennis ball opposite his father’s pastry shop, and his first club was the Amsterdam team Zeburgia .

In 1953, thanks to Jack Reynolds, the seventeen-year-old Brox was invited to watch at Ajax [1] - the young footballer was allowed to play one match. Shak did not play very well, but nevertheless he received a contract with the club and began to play for the Ajax youth team.

In the Dutch championship, he made his debut on November 28, 1954 at the De Mer stadium in a match against BBB [3] , although before that, Schuck had played three matches for Ajax and scored a goal in the amateur championship, which was never completed due to introducing professional football in the country [4] . In the first round, the Amsterdam team lost to the guests with a score of 2: 3 [5] . In the debut season, Jacques spent 19 matches in the championship, but the striker did not score with goals [6] .

The following season, 1955/56, he played in only six matches of the championship of the Netherlands [7] . In March 1957, Brox was first called up to the Netherlands military team as a backup player [8] , because at that time he served in the army, and then to the youth team [9] . In July of that year, Brox was put up for transfer by the club [10] and eventually moved to Haarlem , performing in Erstedivisi [11] . He made his debut on September 8 against Xerxes - in the first game he scored a goal from the penalty spot [12] [13] . He played for Harlem for two seasons.

In the summer of 1959 he moved to the DOS club from Utrecht - he played the first game in the championship on August 23 against Rapid , and scored the first goal on September 20 at the gate of Fortune '54. In the first season, Brox scored 7 goals in the championship, and his team took fourth place. In the 1960/61 season, he scored one goal in the championship , and also scored a double in the cup game with Vitesse . In 1963, Brox was put up for transfer [14] , but did not find a new team and at the age of 26 completed his playing career [1] . After football, he devoted himself to show business, worked as a model, actor and singer [1] .

In 1977, Schack became the coach of the Spakenbürg amateur club, performing in first grade. In March 1978, he left the team [15] , and Nico van Miltenbürg was invited in his place, then coached Hilversum . In March 1981, he headed “ Ter Lede ” [16] , but after eight months he was fired from the club [17] . In the 1984/85 season, he was the coach of the BIOS club from The Hague - he took the 10th place in the second amateur class with the team.
