Biography
The representative of the Swedish branch of the famous noble family Brahe . Son of Joachim Brahe and Margaret Eriksdotter Waza, sister of the King of Sweden (since 1523) Gustav I Waza .
A cousin of the three Swedish kings Eric XIV , Johan III and Charles IX .
Per Brahe the Elder was one of the first representatives of the Swedish nobility, who received the title of nobility, introduced by King Eric XIV . On the occasion of the coronation in 1561, Brahe was granted the Visingsborg county , located on about. Visingsho .
He was a member of the Privy Council of Sweden and the ruler of the Stockholm Castle (since 1540).
