The Equator Monument is located on the equator in Pontianak , Indonesia . It marks the separation between the northern and southern hemispheres .
The monument consists of four pillars made of iron wood , each with a diameter of about 0.3 m, the height of the two front pillars is 3.05 m, the rear - 4.4 m.

Today, the equator monument is not located on the equator. The equator has moved slightly to the south, and outside the monument there is a line that shows the position of the equator, indicated in 2005. According to GPS, in 2010, the position of the equator moved further south to the river.
