History

The Andorra U-19 youth team played its first game on November 5, 1997 in Belfast v. Croatia as part of the qualification for the 2002 Junior Championship . The team under the leadership of coach Manuel Rodriguez in the debut game lost with a large score (0:10) [1] . In the second game against Northern Ireland , Andorra also lost (0: 5) and took the last place in the group. The team suffered its biggest defeat in the history of October 13, 2001 in a meeting against the Czech Republic (0:13) [2] . The team scored their first goal on September 24, 2003. Forwarding team Ivan Lorenzo hit the gates of Liechtenstein , but Andorra still lost (1: 3) [3] .

In the qualifying tournament for the European Championship 2016 , Andorra missed only four goals and drew for the first time in a draw. This result was recorded on November 17, 2015 in the game against the Faroe Islands (1: 1). For the Andorran scored Roger Nazzaro [4] . The next qualification was remarkable for Andorra by the fact that the team scored as many as six goals in the qualifying stage, and also won its first victory, twenty years later, after its first game. The victory, the command of the principality, was noted on October 30, 2016 in a duel against Liechtenstein (4: 2) [5] .
