Selami Altynok (born January 20, 1966, Narman ) is a Turkish statesman.

Biography
Selami Altynok was born on January 20, 1966 in Narman. In 1988, he graduated from the Department of Political Sciences of Istanbul University [1] . He was appointed deputy kaymakam of Akkyshly , then he held the position of kaymakam in Almus , Gyuroymak , Ercish , Terme and Serik . After working as a kaymakam, he was appointed secretary general of the special provincial administration of Erzurum [2] .
Altynok was appointed by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Idris Shahin, the 10th governor of silt Aksaray, on August 2, 2012, the candidacy of Selami Altynok was approved by Turkish President Abdullah Gul . Altynok held this position until February 16, 2014 [3] .
In 2013, the Turkish police carried out a series of searches and arrests against a number of businessmen, as well as the sons of four ministers, which led to a high-profile corruption scandal , after which the head of the security department of Istanbul, Huseyin Chapkin , was removed from his post and was replaced by Sely Altynok [4] .
After the parliamentary elections in June 2015 , as a result of which no party received a constitutional majority in parliament, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu was unable to form a government in 45 days. Then, in accordance with article 114 of the Turkish Constitution , the president transferred the obligation to form a government, in this government all parties must be represented in proportion to the number of seats in parliament. If candidates from any party refuse to enter the government, non-partisans should take their place. Altynok received the post of Minister of Internal Affairs; he held it from August 28, 2015 to November 17, 2015 [5] .
Criticism
While Altynok was at the head of the Istanbul Security Directorate, a record of his conversation with Efkan Al, who was then Deputy Minister of the Interior, got on the Internet . On the record you can hear a voice, allegedly belonging to Altynok, saying: “they will brutally crush the heads of any dissident” [6] . Prime Minister Recep Erdogan called this entry fake. [7]
