Vladimir Alexandrovich Orlov (born April 4, 1933 ) is a Soviet metallurgist, production innovator, senior roll maker of the Zaporizhstal metallurgical plant named after Sergo Ordzhonikidze of the city of Zaporozhye. Hero of Socialist Labor (1974). Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine in 1981-1986. Member of the Supreme Council of the USSR 9-11th convocations.

Biography
In 1950-1952 - fitter. In 1952-1955, he served in the Soviet Army.
In 1958 he graduated from the Zaporizhzhya Metallurgical College and began working at the Zaporizhstal plant. Since 1958, he worked as a rolling mill assistant, gauger, and roller mill, and since 1967, he worked as a senior roller mill of the hot rolling mill of the “1680” mill sheet, as the head of the technologists' team [1] .
Vladimir organized the work so that the team he led regularly exceeded production plans, winning in intersectoral, factory and intra-workshop competitions. Orlov was repeatedly called the best distributor in the industry, and in the late 1960s he was awarded the Order of Lenin [2] .
Member of the CPSU since 1964.
In 1974, his team successfully mastered new rolling technologies, setting one record after another. For high production achievements, more than 20 workers of the workshop were awarded orders and medals, and senior roll maker Vladimir Orlov was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor [2] .
Orlov worked at Zaporizhstal for 45 years, including 43 years in the thin-sheet workshop [1] .
