Boris Sergeyevich Shulzhenko ( August 24, 1919 , the village of Khoruzhevka , Poltava province [1] - June 4, 1970 , Kiev ) - Soviet and Komsomol leader, 1st deputy chairman of the KGB under the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR, major general. Member of the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian SSR of the 6-7th convocations.

Biography
Born into a poor peasant family. He graduated from high school.
In 1937 he entered the Faculty of Geology and Geography of Kiev State University. With the start of World War II in June 1941, he was drafted into the Red Army.
In 1942 he graduated from training courses for command personnel. He served as the platoon commander of the artillery battery, from May 1944 - the commander of the battery of the 406th Infantry Regiment of the 124th Infantry Division on the South-West, Kalinin, Leningrad, 3rd Belorussian fronts. He was wounded three times, received group I disability (subsequently changed to group II). In 1945, demobilized from the Soviet Army.
Member of the CPSU (b) since 1943 .
After demobilization, he graduated from Kiev State University, was at the Komsomol and party work. In 1945-1946 - Komsomol organizer (Komsomol) of the Komsomol Central Committee at Kiev State University.
In September 1946 - January 1948 - 1st Secretary of the Kiev City Committee of the Komsomol, the member of the Bureau of the Central Committee of the Komsomol. In January - February 1948, he was the 2nd Secretary, and in February 1948-1950, he was the 1st Secretary of the Kiev Regional Committee of the Komsomol.
In 1950-1952 - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Komsomol. In 1952-1954 - 2nd Secretary of the Central Committee of the Komsomol.
In June 1954 - June 1957 - Head of the Department of Science and Culture of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine, Deputy Head of the Department of Propaganda and Agitation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine.
In June 1957 - August 1959 - head of the 4th Directorate of the State Security Committee (KGB) under the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR.
In August 1959 - June 1970 - 1st Deputy Chairman of the KGB under the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR.
He was buried in Kiev at the Baykovsky cemetery .
