International airport "Dnepropetrovsk" ( Ukr. International Airport "Dnepropetrovsk" ) is an international airport serving the city of Dnipro . It is located 5 km southeast of the Dnieper.

History [3]
In 1943, after the liberation of Dnepropetrovsk from the Nazi invaders, special-purpose aircraft were relocated in the area of the village of Stary Kodaki . It is 1943 that is considered the basis of the Dnepropetrovsk airport.
In 1975, the airport was nominated by the USSR Ministry of Civil Aviation for transformation into a model international airport.
By 1980, the volume of air transportation amounted to 530 thousand passengers and 20 thousand tons of cargo.
Since 1992, flights start abroad (to Cameroon , Yugoslavia , etc.).
In 1994, flights were launched to Tel Aviv , Frankfurt , Istanbul , Chisinau , Amsterdam , Dubai , Moscow , etc.
In 2011, the Dnepropetrovsk International Airport became an independent enterprise (Dnepropetrovsk International Airport LLC).
Reconstruction
In March 2018, businessman Alexander Yaroslavsky initiated a re-reconstruction of the airport [4] . According to the businessman, his company DCH will be engaged in the construction of an airport terminal, and government agencies will build a runway. Also in the budget of Ukraine for 2019 it is planned to lay 1 billion hryvnia for the construction of the airport [5] .
