Biography
In 1993, she graduated from the Moscow State University with a degree in Economic Cybernetics . In 1994 she received a master's degree at the London School of Economics . In 1997 she received a master's degree, and in 1999 - a doctoral degree in economics from Harvard University .
Since 2000, in the New Economic School (NES), Professor of Economics. Hans Rausing. In 2000-2009 - Academic Director of the Center for Economic and Financial Research at NES.
Since 2009, Professor of Economics at the Graduate School of Social Sciences ( Paris ) and since 2010 Professor of the Paris School of Economics.
She was a member of the editorial group of the program of A. Navalny during his election campaign at the election of the mayor of Moscow, and contributed to his Foundation for the fight against corruption [2] .

In 2002 and 2003 she was awarded the prizes of the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences as the best economist. In 2006 she received the Gold Medal of the Global Development Network.
In 2010 she became the laureate of the International Leontief Medal [3] .
In 2016, together with her co-author Evgeny Yakovlev, she was awarded the National Prize for Applied Economics for her work “The Effect of Liberalization on the example of the reform of business regulation in Russia” [4] .
In 2018, she was awarded the Birgit Grodal Medal of the European Economic Association.
Family
Her husband is a former NES rector , economist S. M. Guriev . The family has two children.
