Biography
Dmitry (Daniil) Borisovich Ryabichev was born in 1926 in the city of Malin (Ukraine). In 1942-1945 - He volunteered for the front of World War II, fought as part of the 3rd Belorussian Front, was wounded in battles for his homeland, was treated in a hospital in the city of Sasovo. Received military awards.
In 1946-1954 studied at the Leningrad Institute of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Architecture, then at the Moscow School of Art and Industry (today MGHPA named after Stroganov) at the Faculty of Sculpture. In 1954, admitted to the Union of Artists of the USSR
In 1962, he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Uzbek SSR. In 1964 he was awarded the State Prize of the Uzbek SSR named after Khamza Hakim-zade, a trip to Geneva, work on the project of the monument “Echo of the World”. In 1965, the UNESCO International Prize was awarded, and the title of Honored Artist of the USSR was awarded. In 1967, he founded his own creative workshop, which is now led by the son of the sculptor Alexander Ryabichev
In 1969 he was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Uzbekistan, the Council of Ministers and the Supreme Council of the Uzbek SSR, a trip to Finland to work on the monument to the radio inventor A.S. Popov in the city of Kotka, and was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of the city of Kotka . In 1970, he was elected a member of the board of the USSR Union of Artists. In 1979 - a trip to Czechoslovakia to work on the monument "Commonwealth", awarded the Lenin Komsomol Prize. In 1980, prizes were awarded to Czechoslovakia, work on the monument “A Feat in the Name of Life”, dedicated to the doctors of the Great Patriotic War in the city of Sochi.
In 1981 - the construction of the memorial complex to Heroes-warriors, participants in the barricade battles on Krasnaya Presnya in Moscow, was awarded the Certificate of Merit of the CPSU and the Moscow City Council, was elected a member of the board of the Moscow Regional Organization of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR. In 1982, he was awarded the M. Grekov silver medal for the creation of works on the military-patriotic theme, was elected a member of the board of the Union of Artists of the USSR, and was awarded an Honorary Diploma of the Presidium of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions. In 1983 - a creative trip to India. 1984 - work on the monument to Mahatma Gandhi for Delhi (India).
He was buried at the Golovinsky cemetery .
