Born in 1885 in a peasant family in the village of Kulanak. Since 1930 he worked on the collective farm "Kulanak" Kulanak district. From 1940 to 1960 he led the herd brigade.
In 1947, the Toktonaly Erkinbayev brigade raised 50 foals from 50 mares. By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of September 15, 1948, he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the awarding of the Order of Lenin and the Golden Hammer and Sickle Medal.
After retiring, he lived in his native village, where he died in 1976.
