Biography
Born in 1908 in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine in a peasant family.
In 1910, the family moved to the Orenburg region. Having lost her parents early, from the age of 13 she began to work, one of the first to join the collective farm. She worked as a laborer, then as a foreman and unit manager on the collective farm “Drummer of the Second Five-Year Plan” of the Orenburg (in 1938-1957 - Chkalovsky) region of the Orenburg (in 1938-1957 - Chkalov) region. Thanks to advanced agricultural technology, she achieved high yields. During the Great Patriotic War, she worked on the same collective farm.
In 1947, together with its link, it achieved a rye crop of 30.81 centners per hectare.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 3, 1948 for receiving high yields of wheat and rye when the collective farm complies with mandatory deliveries and in kind for the operation of the MTS in 1947 and for providing grain seeds for spring sowing in 1948, Voloshina Olga Demidovna, who received a rye crop of 30.81 centner per hectare on an area of 10 hectares, the title of Hero of Socialist Labor was awarded with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal "Hammer and Sickle".
She died in 1968.
