Biography

She was born on March 23, 1928 in Vladikavkaz . During World War II acted in hospitals, where the wounded lay, she sang for them. In 1953 she graduated from the Moscow Conservatory , but to the surprise of many graduates and teachers, she did not qualify for the Bolshoi Theater. She performed as a soloist with a jazz orchestra, Leonid Osipovich Utyosova , who noticed her at the conservatory. Then she sang in Moskontsert. After retirement for some time engaged in teaching activities (taught vocal). Among her students is the famous singer Svetlana Razina .
Buried at Khovansky cemetery .
