History
In February 1785 the first wooden church in the name of St. Nicholas was laid in the village of Golodayevka (now Kuybyshevo). The church was built at the expense of Major-General D. M. Martynov. Two years later, the church was built and consecrated. Over time, the wooden church decayed. There was a need to build a new church in the village. The wooden church was demolished in 1838 by order of the local authorities.
At the request of parishioners and landlords in the village in October 1836 a prayer house was built. A new wooden prayer house was consecrated in December 1836.
In 1843, with the blessing of the Archbishop of Novocherkassk and Georgievsky, the construction of a new stone church began in the village. The temple was built at the expense of landowners Martynov. Due to crop failures and feuds among landowners, the construction started was delayed until 1860. In the end, the temple was built, although with a deviation from the plan. Built a large stone temple lasted until 1938, when it was completely demolished.
Until 1991 there was no church in the village. In 1991 a new prayer house was built here. The parish life was renewed in the village. And again the construction of a large stone church was conceived. The construction of the church at the expense of parishioners began in 2003, when the foundation of the new church was laid. Slow construction continued in 2007 with the erection of walls, in 2009 - with the end of the brickwork of the walls, the construction of the roof and belfry. For the temple was purchased bell weighing 420 kg. and a small belfry. In 2012, seven gilded domes were installed on the temple. The great consecration of the temple in honor of St. Nicholas the Archbishop of the Miracle Worker took place in December 2014. The rite of consecration was held by the Metropolitan of Rostov and Novocherkassk Mercury .
