Etymology
The name comes from the genus Dadashlylyar [1] .
History
The first mentions of the village are dated by the beginning of the 20th century.
In 1926, according to the administrative-territorial division of the Azerbaijan SSR, the village belonged to the dyra of Hindristan of the Agdam county [2] .
After the reform of the administrative division and the abolition of the counties in 1929, the Khindrystan village council was formed in the Agdam district of the Azerbaijan SSR .
According to the administrative division of 1961 and 1977, the village of Dadashly was part of the Khindrystan village council of the Agdam region of the Azerbaijan SSR [3] [4] .
In 1999, an administrative reform was carried out in Azerbaijan and the Khindrystan municipality of the Agdam region was established, where the village entered [5] .
Geography
Not far from the village flows the river Khachinchay .
The village is 28 km from the Agdam district center, 8 km from the temporary Kuzanly regional center and 333 km from Baku .
