Geographical position
Langar is located in the northeast of Badakhshan, in the highlands, on the right bank of the Vahandarya River, at a distance of about 283 kilometers east of the city of Fayzabad , the administrative center of Vilayat. The absolute height is 3626 meters above sea level [1] . The nearest settlements are the village of Kishtav (upstream of the Wahandarya), the village of Sarhad-e-Vahan (downstream of the Wahandarya).
