The Archdiocese of Dublin ( Latin: Archidioecesis Dublinensis ) is the archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church with its center in Dublin , the capital of Ireland . The Dublin Archdiocese includes the entire county of Dublin , most of Wicklow County , a large part of Kildare County , as well as small parts of Karlow , Wexford and Laois counties. It extends to the east coast for about a hundred kilometers and about seventy kilometers inland. The Metropolitanate of Dublin includes the dioceses of Kildare and Leichlin , Ossori and Ferns .
