The Permanent Observer of the Holy See at the United Nations Office and the specialized agencies of the United Nations in Geneva is the representative of the Pope of Rome and the Roman Catholic Church at the European Office of the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland .
The Church also has a representative at the United Nations headquarters in New York, who is known as the Permanent Observer of the Holy See at the United Nations .
The permanent observer has the diplomatic rank of Apostolic Nuncio and the church title of titular archbishop .
