Geography
The village is located on the banks of the Chernichka river, 7 km north-west from the center of the settlement of Lyakhi and 17 km east from the regional center of Melenka .
History
The village of Fursovo is mentioned in the salary books of 1676 as part of the Stepankovsky parish , it contained 12 peasant households [2] . In 1859, there were 55 courtyards in the village [3] , at the end of the XIX century - 70 courtyards.
In the late XIX - early XX century, the village was part of Lyakhovsky volost of Melenkovsky district .
Since 1929 the village has been the center of the Fursovskiy village council of Lyakhovsky district . Since 1963 as part of the Vysokovsky Village Council of the Melenkovsky District of the Vladimir Region .
