Biography
She was born on November 17, 1930 in the village of Berezovets, Chudovsky District (now the Novgorod Region).
Prior to the Great Patriotic War, she graduated from 3 classes of school. During the war years, her family was hijacked in the Pytalovsky district (now the Pskov Region), working on a farm.
In 1946 she left for Leningrad, graduated from the school of the trade training institute at the S. M. Kirov spinning and thread factory, evening school, and then the technical college of light industry. In February 1947, she started working as a spinner on old muylic (batch) machines. She introduced several rationalization proposals into production, mastered new methods of work. Repeatedly sought the title of the best spinner of the enterprise and Leningrad. She worked as an assistant to the master spinning department of the plant, the master of industrial training.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 5, 1971, for outstanding achievements in the early fulfillment of the five-year plan assignments and great creative contribution to the development of the production of fabrics, knitwear, footwear, garments and other products of light industry, Abakumova Nadezhda Romanovna was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with awarding the Order Lenin and the gold medal "Hammer and Sickle".
In 1981 she retired. She died January 29, 1998 in St. Petersburg.
Delegate of the XXIV Congress of the CPSU (1971) and the XIV Congress of Trade Unions (1968). She was elected a deputy of the Leningrad City and Smolninsky District Councils of district deputies, a member of the city branch of the scientific and technical society. She worked in the Leningrad Regional Peace Committee.
