Abbasov, Nadir Khudush oglu

Born in the family of an employee in 1925 in the city of Ganja.

He graduated from the Azerbaijan Agricultural Institute, and later graduated from the Higher Party School under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan SSR.

From 1944 to 1949 he served in the Soviet Army.

He began his career in 1942. Since 1950 - secretary of the district committee in the Kirovabad city committee of the Komsomol, later the department head of the regional committee and the first secretary of the Kirovabad city committee of the Komsomol of Azerbaijan. Since 1956 - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Kirovabad Textile Mill. Until 1961 - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Nizami Viticultural State Farm, department head of the Kirovabad City Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan. Since 1962 - party organizer of Kedabek, Kasum-Ismayil production departments, inspector of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan and first secretary of the Agdam district party committee. Since 1970 - the first secretary of the Salyan district party committee, since 1978 - the first secretary of the Agjabadi district party committee.

Nadir Abbasov proved himself at work as an experienced, demanding of himself and the surrounding leader. At the suggestion of the first secretary, an inter-collective farm animal feeding association and a complex for raising young animals were built in the region, and measures were taken to introduce mechanization and modern inventions of agricultural technicians and livestock specialists into agriculture. Under the leadership of Abbasov, in 1976, the first year of the tenth five-year plan, the workers of the Salyan region fulfilled the annual plan for collecting grain by 136 percent, the plan for collecting cotton - by 107 percent, the plan for collecting grapes - by 109 percent, the plan for obtaining livestock products was overfulfilled.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of December 27, 1976 for outstanding achievements in the All-Union Socialist Competition, manifested labor prowess in fulfilling plans and socialist obligations to increase the production and sale to the state of grain, cotton, grapes, vegetables and other agricultural products in 1976, Abbasov Nadir Khudush oglu was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal "Hammer and Sickle" .

Actively participated in the socio-political life of the country. Member of the Supreme Council of the Azerbaijan SSR of the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th convocations. Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan (1971-1990). The delegate of the XXIV and XXVI Congress of the CPSU.

Since 2002 - Presidential pensioner.
