From 1861, the village became the center of the Semibalkovskaya volost, which included the villages of Pavlovo-Ochakovka with the Terrible Farm and Stefanidino-Dar with the village of Lizetino.
The first church - in the name of Nicholas the Great - wooden, on a stone foundation, was built by Margarit Manuilovich Blazo in honor of the daughter of Mary in 1797. When the temple collapsed, in 1882 a new church was built with the money of the widow of collegiate assessor Glafira Grigorievna Sarandinki. The old one was dismantled and sold to Holovaty farm (now the village of Golovatovka ). [2]
In 1937, St. Nicholas Church was destroyed. A new parish was created only in 2000. With public funds, a store building was purchased and converted into a prayer house. An altar and a bell tower were equipped, a dome with a cross erected, a bakery equipped. [3] The building of the St. Nicholas Church in use today is temporary. Administration of the Azov district of the village was allocated land for the construction of a stone church on the place where until 1937 there was a former church. [four]
