Maundia [2] ( lat. Maundia ) is a monotypic genus of herbaceous plants , allocated in a separate family Maundiaceae , in the classification system APG IV included in the order Chastochotsvetnye ( Alismatales ). It includes only one species - Maundia triglochinoides - endemic to eastern Australia ( Queensland and New South Wales ).

The genus is named after the British-Australian physician, chemist and botanist John Mond ( Eng. John Maund , 1823-1858) [3] .
Description
Perianth segments from 2 to 4. Stamens usually 6, anthers sessile. Ovule hanging, orthotropic [2] .
