The meaning of the song in the works

As A. Belyakov noted, the same thing happened with “ Million Scarlet Roses ” as with the song “ Harlequin ” in 1975: ... the song performed by Pugacheva ... became a kind of third “calling card” of the singer after “ Harlequin ” and " All can kings, " - songs that brought her nationwide fame [2] .

The song "Harlequin" was a turning point in the creative fate of the singer - it was with her that Alla Pugacheva was awarded the Grand Prix at the international song contest " Golden Orpheus " in Bulgaria in 1975 . The victory in the competition (which was shown to the Soviet Central Television ) brought Pugacheva not only widespread All-Union fame, but also the first international success [3] [4] - this victory made her popular in the USSR and beyond. In the same year, the minion came out, where it was first introduced as the only performer. Alla Pugacheva started her solo career with “Harlequin”: before that, she worked as a vocalist of various musical groups.
In Bulgaria, there was a single with a recording of a concert performance of the song , and a little later in the GDR a recording of the song “Harlequin” in German was released (see Harlekino (single) ).
